Giovanni Sanesi
Giovanni Sanesi has studied the role of green spaces in urban settlements for more than 30 years, initially as consultant and then as researcher.
He has been professor at the University of Bari since 2000. His research interests are mainly focused on urban forestry and related ecosystem services. He currently serves the Italian Society of Silviculture and Forestry Ecology (SISEF) as secretary and World Urban Parks as chairman of the applied research working group. He is author and co-author of 180 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
